Webinar Wednesday: Understanding Canada’s Post-Secondary Pathways: Colleges, Universities, and Student Success
Wednesday, April 22, 2026 (7:00 AM - 8:00 AM) (EDT)
Description
Canadian higher education is globally recognized for its academic excellence, strong research opportunities, and commitment to experiential learning. This webinar will explore key post-secondary pathways in Canada, with a particular focus on the public college and university sectors. We will examine program structures and how they support international students in developing the skills and experience needed to be career-ready upon graduation. Participants will also gain practical insights from the counsellor and post-secondary representative lenses into preparing students for admission to Canadian institutions, including understanding differences between institutions and program types, as well as key admission requirements. In addition, we will review recent immigration policy changes affecting international students and discuss how Canadian institutions are adapting while continuing to provide the high-quality education and welcoming environment for which Canada is known.
Webinar Wednesdays are free for active members of International ACAC.
The link to join is provided in the registration confirmation email.
We hope you are able to join the session live. However, if you are unable, a recording of the webinar and accompanying slides will be posted in the International ACAC Webinars Archive following the event.
